5 Easy Tips
To Placing your bet
The mutuel teller at any betting window will help you
place your bet.
There are five easy steps to placing your bet:
Identify the TRACK, THE RACE, THE AMOUNT, THE WAGER. and
THE HORSE BY PROGRAM NUMBER
1. TRACK
Identify the Track:
Example: Turf Paradise, or Santa Anita, or Churchill
Downs, etc.
2. RACE
Identify the Race number:
Example: Turf Paradise, Race 5...
3. AMOUNT
Identify the dollar amount you wish to bet.
Example: Turf Paradise, Race 5, $2…
4. WAGER
Identify the type of wager.
Example: Turf Paradise, Race 5, $2 to win…
5. HORSE
Identify Horse by Program Number
Example: Turf Paradise, Race 5, $2 to win on number 8.
