First-Time Visitor FAQs

No. You do not have to place a wager to enjoy Turf Paradise. Many guests come to watch the horses, experience live racing, enjoy food and drinks, and spend the day with friends and family.

We recommend arriving before the first race so you have plenty of time to park, explore the track, find your seats, and get familiar with the day’s races. Check the current racing schedule before your visit for race times.

Not at all. You can enjoy a day at the races without knowing anything about horse racing. If you’d like to learn, start with the basics of Win, Place, and Show wagering and use the day’s race program to follow the horses and races.

Yes. Turf Paradise welcomes families and guests of all ages. Kids can experience the excitement of seeing the horses and live racing up close, and you do not need to wager to enjoy a day at the track.

Visit the Bettors page for quick access to race-day information, including workouts, race replays, expert picks, carryovers, handicapping resources, and other useful tools.

For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are prohibited:

  • Firearms, knives, weapons, or objects that may be used as weapons
  • Illegal drugs, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia
  • Outside alcoholic beverages
  • Coolers and outside food or beverage containers
  • Glass bottles or glass containers
  • Fireworks, explosives, flares, or incendiary devices
  • Drones or other remote-controlled devices
  • Air horns, whistles, and other disruptive noisemakers
  • No tents or umbrellas
  • Animals, except trained service animals
  • Bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, and unauthorized motorized devices

All guests, bags, and personal belongings may be subject to security screening. Turf Paradise reserves the right to prohibit additional items when necessary and to deny entry or remove anyone who does not comply with venue policies

While there’s no need to dress as formally as you would for the Derby, certain events may have specific attire requirements. Themed attire is always encouraged!

Turf Paradise offers accessible seating and accommodations for guests with mobility needs. Elevators are available for access to upper-level areas, and designated accessible spaces are located throughout the facility. Guests who need assistance locating accessible seating or navigating the facility are encouraged to speak with a Turf Paradise staff member upon arrival.
